- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to Bio-Rad Laboratories, Life Science Group, 2000 Alfred Nobel Drive, Hercules, CA 94547. Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure a one-year maintenance agreement with required recertification inspection and repairs (as needed) on a Bio-Rad S3 cell sorter. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219; the small business size standard is $22.0 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 2:00 PM Central Time on April 2, 2021, will be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Danielle Cooley at danielle.cooley@usda.gov. No phone inquiries will be accepted. The e-mail subject line shall state: 12505B21SNQ0043 Notice of Intent to Sole Source. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
