Description

Notice of Intent to Award a Brand Name Sole Source Contract The Regional Contracting Office � Marine Corps Installations West (RCO-MCIWEST) intends to award a Brand Name Sole Source contract to Escal Institute of Advanced Technology (doing business as SANS Institute), 11200 Rockville Pike, Suite 200, North Bethesda MD 20852 for SANS Training and Certification. The contract will consist of a 12-month base year, (4) four 12-month options, and the option to extend services for 6 additional months.� Escal Institute of Advanced Technology is the sole propriety owner of the memberships, site licenses, pre-assessments, test vouchers, and all other materials related to the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) and their association. RCO-MCIWEST will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and Other Than Full and Open Competition.� The authority for soliciting a single source is pursuant to FAR 13.501(a), as the contracting officer has determined the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(6), the required documentation is attached. This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 10:00 AM March 25 2021 10:00 am. (PT) via email.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
