The PBGC requires a combination of actuarial, economic, and IT proficiency to build and sustain T-PIMS over the duration of this contract. The target is for a T-PIMS model that is faster, while running more simulations, and taking a larger footprint of input data then the system currently used. The model should also be able to be adjusted to meet any Technical Assistance requests that come in from Congress or other government agencies. A single contractor responsible for systems modernization, and ongoing enhancement, operations, maintenance efforts will bring a synergistic approach that will increase efficiencies and management effectiveness, which should correlate to reduced long-term costs to PBGC.
