- Robert J. Dole Veterans Administration Medical Center Wichita, Kansas Statement of Performance � Medical Gases Inspection � SCOPE.� � �The Department of Veterans Affairs, Robert J. Dole Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas requires station wide Medical Gases inspection in Building 1, 1C, 2, 19, 34, 60 and 62 totaling 748 outlet for testing and inspection annually. �The contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, parts, and other costs necessary to complete the required testing of these systems. ��SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED: ����� �Vendor will inspect the existing medical piped gas systems for compliance with applicable NFPA 99, CGA, and ASSE specifications and recommendations. The inspection will include, an evaluation of all available medical gas terminals for pressure, flow, latching, de-latching, leakage and proper labeling of Oxygen, Medical Air, Nitrous Oxide, Nitrogen, and Vacuum. �An evaluation of all master, area and local alarms for proper activation, labeling, general condition, service location, test button for audible and visual signal, and system pressure gauges. �An evaluation of all zone valves for leakage, proper labeling and general condition. An evaluation of all source supply equipment for proper configuration, redundancies, labeling, local alarms, location and warning signage. The Vendor will also submit a complete report defining. Install solenoid valves, coils, and wiring to prevent liquid migration from the evaporator �to the compressor and necessary labor. The contractor will perform his/her duties during normal Wichita VA Medical Center business hours, 7:30 AM � 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday, except Federal Holidays. �IDENTIFICATION: The contractor�s field service employee shall always wear visible identification while on the premises of the VA Medical Center.� Smoking is prohibited inside of buildings.� Possession of weapons is prohibited.� Enclosed containers, including tool kits, shall be subject to search.� Violations of the VA regulations may result in citation answerable in the United States (Federal) District Court. VEHICLES: All vehicles will be locked and the keys removed while performing service on the Medical Center�s property.� This is intended to protect the contractor�s property and provide for the safety of the Medical Center�s personnel. Vehicle(s) shall be identified.� Parking in the appropriate designated parking areas is expected.� Information on parking is available from the VA Police.� The VA Medical Center will not invalidate or make reimbursement for parking violations of the contractor for any conditions. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: In the performance of this contract, the contractor shall take such safety precautions as the Contracting Officer or designee may determine to be reasonably necessary to protect the lives and health of the occupants of any building.� The Contracting Officer or designee will notify the contractor of any noncompliance with the foregoing provisions and action to be taken.
