- Description:� This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition.� It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.� Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes.� No award will be made as a result of this notice.� The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice.� This notice is strictly for research and information purposes only. Background: �The National Institute on Aging (NIA) requires state-of-art assay kit for quantification of serum/plasma on one 96-well plate of a Simoa 4-plex assay for human Abeta40, Abeta 42, GFAP, NF-light and p-Tau 181 Singleplex. These biomarkers will be assayed using biospecimens from participants followed for many years through the Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging and the Genetic and Epigenetic Signatures of Translational Aging Laboratory Testing study. Purpose and Objectives: These biomarkers will provide important insights into the biological underpinnings of cognitive resilience and cognitive impairment years before any symptoms would be apparent.� New insights may lead to novel treatments to help prevent or delay Alzheimer�s Disease. Project requirements: Part 103714 � p-Tau-181 Advantage V2 Assay Kit (Complete Simoa bead-based assay kit for measuring P-Tau 181 in serum, plasma and CSF samples. Kit contains reagents for processing one 96 well plate (or 96 tubes) of target analyte. Includes calibrator concentrates, calibrator diluents, beads, detectors, SBG, RGP, and sample diluents.) Part 103670 � Neurology 4-Plex E (Ab40, Ab42, GFAP, NF-l) Assay Kit (HD-X) (For HD-X only. Complete kit for running one 96-well plate of a Simoa 4-plex assay for human Abeta40, Abeta 42, GFAP, NF-light.) Part 103347 � Disc Kit for Simoa HD-1/X (rev 2) (This kit includes a stack of 16 Simoa Discs, 500 Simoa cuvettes, 4 Simoa assay plates, an 8-pack of 15 ml bottles, and 8 boxes of disposable Simoa pipettor tips (768). This kit includes enough materials to run 4 plates under customary operating circumstances.) Part 100486 � System Buffer 1, (2 Pack) (2x (5L) Wash Buffer 1 specifically formulated to optimize performance of assays on the Simoa HD-1 Analyzer) Part 100487 � System Buffer 2, (2 Pack) (2x (3 L) Wash Buffer 2 specifically formulated to optimize performance of assays on the Simoa HD-1 Analyzer) Anticipated Delivery Date: 90 Days After Receipt of Order Other important considerations: Brand Name or Equal to Quanterix Capability statement /information sought: The intent of this sources sought notice is to define the procurement strategy (e.g. set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that is intended to be posted soon. Interested vendors are requested to respond by (1) identifying how their proposed product meets or exceeds the project requirements listed above; and (2) providing product literature, white papers, or capability statements that demonstrate their bona fide ability to supply such an item within the time frame described above. In addition, please state your business size status and whether you are the manufacturer or authorized distributor of the item you propose. Please note that the NIA is particularly interested in small business sources. If you are a small business, please state the type of small business (small business; HUBZone; service-disabled, veteran-owned; 8(a); veteran-owned; woman-owned; or small disadvantaged businesses) and your size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The respondent must also provide their� DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), HubZone, etc., pursuant to the applicable NAICS code and any other information that may be helpful in developing or finalizing the acquisition requirements. One (1) copy of the response is required and must be in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format using 11-point or 12-point font, 8-1/2� x 11� paper size, with 1� top, bottom, left and right margins, and with single or double spacing. The information submitted must be in and outline format that addresses each of the elements of the project requirement and in the capability statement /information sought paragraphs stated herein.� A cover page and an executive summary may be included but is not required. The response is limited to a 10-page limit.� The 10-page limit does not include the cover page, executive summary, or references, if requested. The response must include the respondents� technical and administrative points of contact, including names, titles, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses. All responses to this notice must be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer.� Facsimile responses are NOT accepted. The response must be submitted to Scott Bredow, Contracting Officer, at e-mail address scott.bredow@nih.gov. � The response must be received on or before April 7, 2021 at 3 pm, Eastern Time. �Disclaimer and Important Notes:� This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response.
