- FARO TECHNOLOGIES, Inc. 250 Technology Park Lake Mary FL 32746-7115 Notice of Intent to Sole Source: The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Jacksonville, FL intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Faro Technologies, Inc. for two FARO Arms systems and two Laser Line Probes, located at the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida 32212-0016. FARO arm scanners are used to measure and reverse engineer parts for the F/A-18 program. The scanners are also used to verify dimensions of Critical Safety Item (CSI) and First Production Run (FPR) parts. The calibration and recertification of the scanners is an innovation technology part/service that is available only from FARO Technologies the OEM. FARO Technologies own the patent and copyrights to the software used to calibrate and certify the arm systems. FARO Technologies has no authorized service providers or distributors and is the sole service provider for the above requirement. Additionally, the calibration and re-certification of FARO arm and laser line probes must be performed from a source approved by the Naval Air Systems Command Metrology Calibration (NAVAIR METCAL) program. FARO Technologies is the only approved source on the NAVAIR METCAL program to calibrate these items. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) that work falls under is 334513 Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables, with a standard size standard of 750 (# of employees). This is a notice of intent for information purposes only. All sources eligible to meet this requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with a clear and convincing evidence that clearly articulate the company�s ability to satisfy this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received within one (1) calendar day after publication of this notice, to demonstrate comparable capability, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
