Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul District (MVP) has a requirement for the supply and installation of two new boat motors and ancillary equipment on the hydraulics section 20-foot Kann work boat.� The two current motors will be disposed of by the contractor.������ The Government will deliver and pick up the boat without cost to the successful quoter if their location is within 50 miles each way of Lock and Dam 2 (LD2) located at:� LD2 1350 Lock and Dam Road Hastings, MN 55033 Contractor�s interested in this requirement that are beyond the 50-mile radius, will be required to pick-up and return the completed boat at their own expense.� This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. This synopsis is not a request for quotes (RFQ), proposals (RFP), or in an invitation for bids (IFB). This is a pre-solicitation notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via Contract Opportunities at beta.SAM.gov (formerly FedBizOpps/FBO.gov) in the near future.� The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation once issued. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Quotes will be due approximately 14 days from the date the solicitation is issued, however, the 14 day time frame is an estimate and subject to change.� The definitive solicitation closing due date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Quoters are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to this Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for any quoter�s inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM). Pursuant to FAR 4.1102, firms must be SAM registered at the time their quotation is submitted.� Registration instructions may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished, at www.beta.sam.gov.��
