- Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Patuxent River, Maryland intends to solicit for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity - Multiple Award Contracts (IDIQ-MAC) for the production of sonobuoys under full and open competition. The Government intends to utilize the IDIQ-MAC to support current and future sonobuoys, to include the production of bathythermograph, active, passive, multistatic receiver, and special mission a-size series sonobuoys for Fiscal Years (FYs) 2023-2027.� The IDIQ-MAC is anticipated to include a five year ordering period for the production of sonobuoys.� Interested parties must be registered under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code in the System for Award Management and either have completed buoy qualification or be in the process of completing buoy qualification via Other Transactional Authority (OTA) prior to proposal submission. The draft solicitation is anticipated to be available for comment on or around 04 August 2021. The final solicitation, N00019-21-R-0009, and all attachments necessary to prepare a proposal are anticipated to be available on beta.SAM.gov on or about 30 September 2021, with a tentative closing date of 28 December 2021.��It is the responsibility of the potential vendors to monitor beta.SAM.gov for any information that may pertain to a future solicitation. FBO is the single point of entry for posting of the synopsis and solicitations to the internet. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this synopsis. The Government will not reimburse the cost of any submission in response to this announcement -- the entire cost of any submission will be at the sole expense of the source submitting the information. If a solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced via beta.SAM.gov and interested parties must comply with that announcement. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice.
