- INTRODUCTION The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella (FLCSI) Naples Detachment, Naples, Italy, announces its intention to procure an advanced videoprobe in support of Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center (FDRMC) in Naples Italy. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify prospective vendors capable of providing an advanced videoprobe with the capability of precise measurement of internal areas and parts of gas turbine engines, having the salient characteristics identified below. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS The required videoprobe must have the following salient characteristics: - Precise 3D phase, 3D stereo, and stereo measurement capability. - A measurement accuracy of 0.100 inch +/- 0.005 inch. - The capability to self-calibrate on the spot to the required measurement standard - The capability of on-screen digital zoom, allowing small/minor defective part recognition from further viewing distances. - Must be capable to generate inspection reports on site, being completely self-reliant on its own system. - Must be rugged designed and conform to military standard MIL-STD-810 series to withstand the harsh inspection environments. - Must be ergonomic, flexible and lightweight for easy storage and quick mobility of system. - The capability for allowing user to inter-change the probe to offer a wide variety of probe sizes and functions. - Must have interchangeable videoprobe adapter sizes with probe diameters of 4.0mm, 6.1mm, and 8.4mm, in lengths of 2 meters and 3 meters for all three probe diameters. -Probe tip capabilities as follows: - 4.0mm tip Forward (FWD) view with Field of View (FOV) of 80 degree and 115 degree; - 4.0mm tip Side View with FOV of 115 degree and 120 degree; - 4.0mm Stereo probe measurement tips with FWD and Side View of 55 degree each; - 6.1mm tip FWD viewing with FOV of 50 degree, 65 degree, 80 degree, 90 degree and 120 degree; - 6.1mm tip Side View with FOV of 50 degree, 80 degree, and 120 degree; - 6.1mm 3D phase measurement tips FWD view with FOV 105 degree and Side View with FOV 105 degree; - 6.1mm Stereo measurement tips FWD view with FOV 60 degree and Side View with FOV 50 degree; - 8.4mm tip FWD view with FOV 40 degree, 80 degree, and 120 degree; - 8.4mm tip Side View with FOV 40 degree, 80 degree, and 120 degree; - 8.4mm Stereo measurement tips FWD view and Side View with FOV 60 degree each. SUBMISSION DETAILS All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements with accompanying equipment specification and warranty data. All data received in response to this Notice, marked or designated as corporate or proprietary, will be fully protected from release outside the Government.
