Sources Sought Only � Contract for Construction of Project # MDVL042061 Repair Fire Suppression Systems in Building 150, 151, and 160 at the 186th Air Refueling Wing in Meridian, MS Solicitation Number: ���� W50S7J21B0004 Agency: ������������������������������ Department of the Army Office: �������������������������������� National Guard Bureau Location: ��������������������������� 186th Air Refueling Wing, Meridian, MS This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement, a market survey for information to be used for preliminary planning purposes. The information received will be used within the Mississippi National Guard to facilitate the decision making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. The intent of the Sources Sought Synopsis is to identify potential qualified U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA):��������������������������������������� Small Business������������������������������������������������� Small Disadvantaged Business Certified 8(a) Businesses, ��������������������������� SBA certified HUBZone Small Businesses, Women-Owned Small Businesses������������ Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The Sources Sought Synopsis is one facet in the overall market research conducted by the Government in regards to whether the proposed solicitation will be issued as a competitive set-aside. �No procurement strategy will be determined based solely on the information received in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis. �No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. �This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research.� Respondents will not be notified of the results of this market research.� The Mississippi National Guard is seeking U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a) Businesses, SBA certified HUBZone Small Businesses, Women-Owned Small Businesses, and/or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses sources with current and relevant experience, personnel, and capability to self-perform a construction contract for repair of fire suppression systems in buildings 150, 151, and 160 at the 186th Air Refueling Wing. �Work performed under this contract will include Upgrade of the Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) system serving the Fuel Cell Maintenance Hangar (Building 160) to a High Expansion Foam (HEF) system and modernize the pump house (Building 151) capabilities for proper level of service to both aircraft maintenance hangars. The project will modify the existing fire suppression system with new controls and replace the fire protection water pumps with the correct size and configuration to better comply with National Fire Protection Agency, Department of Defense, and Air Force guidance and standards. Repair of the existing High Expansion Foam (HEF) system serving the Composite Maintenance Hangar (Building 150) to modernize and correct code deficiencies to provide for proper level of service to both aircraft maintenance hangars. The project will modify the existing fire suppression system with new fixtures and controls with the correct type, size, and configuration to better comply with National Fire Protection Agency, Department of Defense, and Air Force guidance and standards.
