Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract for Maintenance Dredging Wilmington Harbor Anchorage Basin 42 Foot & 32 Foot Project, New Hanover and Brunswick Counties, North Carolina, W912PM21B0001. THIS SOLICITATION IS 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE: This solicitation is anticipated to issue as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) resulting in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) contract. The solicitation will issue on or about May 21, 2021, bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. The magnitude of construction for this work is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. NAICS 237990 � Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $30,000,000.00. The work includes maintenance dredging of the Anchorage Basin (Upper Brunswick, Fourth East Jetty, Between Channel) and 42-ft and 32-ft Projects of the Wilmington Harbor federal navigation channel. Mid-river channels adjacent to South Pelican and Ferry Slip Islands will be considered. The North Carolina State Ports Authority (NCSPA) have requested the berth areas and Turning Basin Extension be included with the federal dredging project. The work will consist of removal and disposal of shoaled material that has accumulated in the channels and berth areas since the various areas were last dredged. The work will require a hydraulic cutter suction dredge.� Dredging depths are 42� plus 2� of allowable overdepth for the Anchorage Basin and Mid-river channels and 32' plus 2' of allowable overdepth for the 32-ft Project.� Dredging depths are 39' plus 1� of allowable overdepth for the NCSPA berth areas 1 and 2 and 43� plus 1� of allowable overdepth for the NCSPA berth areas 3 thru 9 and Turning Basin Extension.� The estimated quantity of material to be dredged is 1.4 million cubic yards.� The Government furnished disposal area is Eagle Island Cell No. 3 upland dredge material placement facility. The environmental window for dredging the NCSPA berth areas is 1 October through 31 January.� The environmental window for dredging the Wilmington Harbor federal navigation channel reaches is 1 August through 31 January. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation.� This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only.� No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc.) will be provided.�� Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.� Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any amendments.
