- Description
- FCI Englewood is seeking to hire a licensed contractor to repair (2) two Cleaver Brooks Boilers located in the outside powerhouse. Contractor shall complete�one Full Re-tube of boiler #1 Model# CEW 200-600-150ST, Serial#OL-104844, due to oxygen pitting in tubes. For boiler #2 Model # CEW 200-600-150ST, Serial # OL-104843, contractor shall complete a 2nd pass Re-tube. Minimal down time is essential due to the crucial services supplied by these heating boilers. All work shall comply with Federal, State and local regulations. Please see attachments to include�statement of work and Letter to Offerors. A site visit is scheduled for March 25th (see letter to offerors).� Please follow all instructions when submitting quotes.� The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers:�overall best value to the government, price, and past performance� Question: Can you please provide the National Board number for each boiler? Answer: The National Board numbers for the boilers are: NB #14134 NB #14133 Question: Is�boil out being performed of the newly installed tubes and if so whom is responsible for the boil out? What is the procedure and time length of such boil out that will be required by the government? Answer: Please refer to the manufacturers recommendations as to whether or not a boil-out is required and what the procedure/time length�is recommended. Question:. If boiling out, is TSP (Trisodium Phosphate) suitable for the boil out compound or is the government wanting another chemical of choice for this boil out procedure? Answer: Please refer to the manufacturers recommendations as to the specific chemical for the boil-out procedure (if required) Question: Who has rights of salvage to the removed scrap boiler tubing (contractor or government)? If the government is keeping all scrap, will a dumpster be provided by the work space or will they handle removing all old tubing from the boiler room? Answer: The Government�has rights to the removed scrap boiler tubing. A�dumpster or dump location will be provided for removed�scrap boiler tubing.� Question:. Will the government post the site visit visitors list? Answer: no one attended the site visit, we did not get any requests Question:. Will the government consider a quote for both partial-retube and full-retube pricing for a full appales-to-apples comparison? Answer: I am not sure what you are asking here,�We are asking for a quote for one partial and one full retube, they should be two different line items.
