Description

The 502nd Contracting Squadron at JBSA Randolph, TX hereby gives notice of their intent to award a single Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Abbott Laboratories, on a sole source basis utilizing FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 13.106?1(b)(2), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government has a requirement all reagents and consumable items necessary to operate the Alinity s Blood and Plasma Analyzer located at the Armed Services Blood Bank Center-San Antonio (ASBBC-SA).� These reagents and consumables are required to process Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-mandated donor screening tests for infectious diseases before releasing blood units in support of DoD operations. The six mandated tests are: HIV 1/2/O Antigen and Antibodies, Human T-Cell Lymphotrophic virus I/II Antibodies, Hepatitis C Virus Antibodies, Hepatitis B Surface Antigen, Hepatitis B Core Antibodies, and Trypanosoma Cruzi Antibodies.� The BPA ordering period will be for five years, beginning 01 May 2021 through 30 Apr 2026.
