QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR RFQ 36C10E21Q0060 MAIL MACHINE LEASE AND MAINTENANCE RENO AND LAS VEGAS In order not to overcharge the VA for consumable supplies will the Government consider changing the requirement that all supplies be included to a not to exceed line item? The VA will use a Government Purchase Card (GPC) to purchase consumables as needed. Page 6 The Reno Regional Office (RO) and is satellite office in Las Vegas require Mail Processing Machines to support the RO s mission to include priority shipping. Contractor is to provide service/maintenance and emergency repair for all equipment needed for processing outgoing letters, parcels and packages. In order to support the VA mission to include priority shipping is it a requirement that the proposed solution for both locations allow the VA to take advantage of USPS discounts available to the VA for priority shipping which include Commercial Plus Pricing discounts bu suing a full service IMpb label? YES Page 7- Minimum Mailing system requirements for Reno, NV Processing speed up to 110 Ipm Can the Government please clarify if the requirement speed is based on running standard #10 envelopes? Envelope thickness up to ½ YES Does the Government require that the proposed mailing system have the ability to feed envelopes with a thickness of ½ while using the automatic feeder/batch mode? YES Does the Government require that the proposed mailing system have the ability to seal envelopes with a thickness of up to ½ ? YES
