- Description
- The U.S. Navy, Center for Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Diving, in Panama City, Florida is looking for interested contactors to provide combat skills training to Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD), Navy enlisted and officer students. Onsite facilities and live fire ranges are limited and initially we are looking for fully supported training within a 50 mile radius of NAVSCOLEOD, Eglin AFB, Florida. Ammunition and weapons will be provided by the government and transported by the government to the training site(s). However, all training site requirements must be in accordance with all federal and local laws/regulations and be met by the contractor at the time of the training. Student control, Personal Protective Equipment and other student administrative requirements will be provided by the military. Training is high risk and instructors must be qualified to run high risk Range Safety Officer weapons training/qualifications in accordance with Naval Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) and Naval Education and Training Command policies. Required, on-site medial support will be provided by the contractor. Class size will be limited to 25 students. Course scheduling will align with NAVSCOLEOD, Navy student, training pipeline and be limited to eight courses per year. Weapons training will consist of qualification and marksmanship of the Navy service pistol and rifles (5.56 and 7.62mm), NECC CAT 3 shooter qualification, shotgun, and heavy crew-served (.50cal and 40mm) weapons systems. Rifle training will include long range shooting and optics selection and use. Additionally, the contractor will provide training on the use and qualification of man portable mortars systems, shoulder fired rockets system, and hand grenades. Basic combat skills to be trained are; Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training to Level 2, Night Vision Goggle, Thermal Optics, land navigation, basic convoy planning/movement, and Navy Basic ropper/rappel qualification. EOD threat assessment should be reinforced and applied during all combat skills training. All course curriculum will be developed by/through the Center for Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Diving and delivered by contract solution.
