**************************AMENDED TO CONDUCTING VIRTUALLY ONLY*********************************** An Industry Day for the Construction of Van Voorhis Elementary School located at Fort Knox, KY will be held on 01 April 2021at 10:00AM Eastern Standard Time (EST). The Industry Day will be held�virtually. The presentation slides and ProjNet Instructions (for questions) will be posted to this notice within two weeks of the industry day. Contractors planning to attend the event are asked to complete the Pre-registration Form attached to this notice, and return a copy to Miriaha Sigmon at Miriaha.D.Sigmon@usace.army.mil, no later than COB on 29 March 2021. A list of�attendees and interested firms, along with questions and responses from ProjNet will be posted to this notice within two weeks following the Industry Day. VIRTUAL ATTENDEES: To attend the meeting please go to https://usace1.webex.com/meet/miriaha.d.sigmon type in your name and email address when prompted. You will also need to have the Webex application call you using the instructions below. Click the ""Call Me"" button and input phone number which will be called with the audio component of the meeting. Industry day will begin promptly at 10:00AM EST on 01�April 2021. The Webex application will open-up for participants to log in at 09:30AM EST. **************************AMENDED TO CONDUCTING VIRTUALLY ONLY*********************************** PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work will consist of constructing a new elementary school, demolishing the existing school, constructing a playfield, and parking lot. The new construction element is approximately 104,000 SF. The demolition is approximately 84,000 SF. The project shall comply with current DoDEA 21C Facility Requirements to include general purpose classrooms, gymnasium, auditorium, information center, computer lab, cafeteria/food service/kitchen, supply areas, specialist rooms, music room, art room, learning impaired room, neighborhoods, learning hubs, teacher work rooms, counseling areas, storage, administrative offices, and other required areas for a fully functioning facility and school complex. Project includes related infrastructure such as parking areas, mechanical rooms, delivery areas, storage, and lighting. The construction will also account for a parent drop-off/pick-up lane. The existing school is located next to the construction site and shall remain in operation during construction. Consideration must be taken to maintain the existing parent drop-off/pick-up, vehicle circulation, and parking. Construct an elementary school with functional areas containing neighborhood instructional spaces, special education spaces, staff collaboration spaces, commons area, multipurpose room, information center, gymnasium, art room, music room, administrative suite, guidance counseling suite, special education suite, health suite, food service, maintenance support, central storage area, technology service center, and other required areas for a fully functioning elementary school. Typical construction is anticipated to consist of spread footings, steel frame, brick exterior, metal stud and gypsum board interior partitions, and operable/movable partition walls so that the elementary school may be flexible for future development/expansion. Details regarding the Optional Site Visit will be included in the solicitation. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation when it is posted to http://beta.SAM.gov. SOLICITATION WEBSITE: The official solicitation, when posted, will be available free of charge by electronic posting only and may be found at Beta.SAM website, http://beta.SAM.gov. Paper copies of the solicitations will not be issued. Information regarding the issuance of the project solicitation and proposal submission will be found in the Presolicitation Notice and solicitation documents, when issued, at Beta.SAM. REGISTRATIONS: Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the following database: System for Award Management (SAM): Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the SAM database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for a Government contract award. If the Offeror is a Joint Venture (JV), the JV entity shall have valid SAM registration in the SAM database representing the JV as one business/firm/entity. If at the time of award an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror.
