- Description
- Amendment 01 provides a list of questions and answers submitted during the open questions period for this BAA. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) seeks interested parties to become partners in the Military Unique Sustainment Technology II program (herein referred to as MUST-II).� MUST-II is a DLA Sponsored DOD Manufacturing Technology Program.� The MUST-II Program will form a community of practice to implement process re?engineering of joint DLA Troop Support Clothing and Individual Equipment (CIE) supply chain processes which will enable knowledge based digital technical data models to be seamlessly used throughout the CIE supply chain. (For more background information see the Government Accountability Office (GAO) report, �DOD Should Improve Development of Camouflage Uniforms and Enhance Collaboration Among the Services, GAO-12-707: Published: Sep 28, 2012 (https://www.gao.gov/products/GAO-12-707). For the purposes of this solicitation, the community of practice will be made up of organizations with expertise in relevant technical areas of the military uniform and individual equipment supply chain. The knowledge base encompasses comprehensive information related to all aspects military uniforms and individual equipment.� The major focus will be to develop knowledge-based capability to collaborate requirements among Services, DLA and Industrial Base.� MUST- II leverages MUST I developed capabilities. The MUST-II vision is a CIE supply chain built on joint process re-engineering and an integrated knowledge base of digital technical data models � a Model Based Enterprise (MBE) � efficiently communicated throughout the supply chain.
