Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for construction activities for update to the Manhattan Levee Flood Risk Management Project. � The Manhattan, KS FRM project w ill include approximately 20,000 linear feet of levee raises along the Big Blue and Kansas River as well as 500 linear feet of a new levee (tie-back Hayes and Casement).Additionally, the project will include underseepage control measures including 28 relief wells, and 8,140 linear feet of underseepage control berms to accommodate the levee raise. Five existing gatewell structures will be modified, one will be replaced and one new drainage structure near station 140+00.The Manhattan, KS FRM project will include numerous utility relocations as well. It will be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 14 and FAR Part 36. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimate magnitude if this construction project is: Between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. This procurement will be solicited Unrestricted, utilizing the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction). The estimated performance period for completion of construction is 913 days after notice to proceed.� An Industry Day is planned for 31 March 2021. Please see attachments for information. At this time, no Pre-Solicitation Conference is planned for this solicitation.� If the Government does elect to hold a Pre-Solicitation Conference, the Pre-Solicitation Announcement will be modified accordingly. At this time, no organized site visit has been scheduled for this solicitation. If one is scheduled, details will be included in the solicitation. Bid Bonds shall be in the amount of 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000.00, whichever is lesser of the two values. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for the full amount (100%) of the awarded contract before the Notice to Proceed can be issued. Bids will be due the day and time specified in the solicitation.� The solicitation is expected to be available on or about 21 April 2021.
