- Description
- NSWC Corona, ISEA of the Future is hosting a collaborative virtual Data Science Forum. After reviewing the event description below, please navigate to our registration link to reserve your spot. *Note: Attendance will be limited on Day 3 to DoD and qualified U.S. DoD Contractors due to subject matter constraints. Registration Link: https://einvitations.afit.edu/inv/anim.cfm?i=591509&k=0768430C7B5E Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division (NSWC Corona) will be hosting a virtual event for the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) of the Future initiative on June 8-10, 2021. The forum will be held virtually using MS Teams or GovZoom. The theme of this event is centered on Modernizing Fleet maintenance and repair through predictive analytics and improved data pipelines, quality, and standardization. The forum will also consist of a detailed look at problems, challenges, and opportunities associated with ISEA of the Future and Data Science. Following on from past events, NSWC Corona seeks interest from industry, academic, and state, local, and federal entities capable of providing expertise, capabilities, facilities, and experience relative to this subject that would like to participate in discussions with the ISEA community. The draft agenda will be provided when it is available. We anticipate this forum to consist of stand-alone presentations and panel discussions on specific problem statements. The expectation is that attendees and panel members will review the specific Navy problem statements and be prepared to engage in interactive panel discussions. This will involve validation of the problem statement and then to propose and discuss steps that the Navy should take in order to shape future policy and acquisition decisions that can solve these problems. Each topic and session will be led by a chair who will guide the panel in their discussions. If you are interested in presenting, being a panel member, or chair one of the panel sessions, please reply to the POC listed below and provide a few sentences describing yourself or your organization, the topic(s) of interest, and what you could provide towards the discussion. Your point of contact will be Golda McWhorter and all inquiries shall be sent to the following email address with ISEA of the Future Virtual Forum in the subject line: golda.mcwhorter@navy.mil To ensure a successful forum, we encourage interested parties to register early and complete all of the required visitor information at the earliest possible opportunity. Registration is based on a first come first serve basis and will close once the maximum capacity of attendees/presenters has been reached. This is not a procurement, nor a notice for such a procurement, and at this time there is no plan or funding for a follow-on procurement. However, the forum will encourage the creation of non-contractual based partnerships and agreements including CRADA, OTA and others to explore these topics in greater detail. NSWC Corona is one of ten Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Surface and Undersea Warfare Centers. Our mission is to provide test and evaluation, systems engineering, integrated logistics support, in-service engineering, integration of surface ship weapons, and warfare systems. NSWC Corona is the Navy's independent assessment agent and home to three premier National Laboratory and Assessment Centers: Joint Warfare Assessment Lab (JWAL); Measurement Science and Technology Lab (MSTL); and Daugherty Memorial Assessment Center (DMAC). Additionally, NSWC Corona provides objective analysis and independent assessments, calibration and the science of measurement and range systems engineering and instrumentation.
