AMENDMENT TWO Solicitation 36C10F20R0043 is amended to include teh Building One Walk through sign in sheets from the pre-registered site visits that were conducted on March 29, 30, and 31.� The sign in sheets are attached as document ""Bay Pines Bldg 1 Walk through attendance.pdf"".� The amendment document is 30C10F20R0043 0002.docx. AMENDMENT ONE Pre-Proposal Conference sign in sheet and presentation. Document ""36C10F20R0043 0001.pdf"". The Department of Veteran Affairs, Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM), Acquisition Support, Eastern Region, 425 I Street NW, Washington, DC is conducting market research/seeking sources from small business construction firms that are classified under one or more of the following small business programs: (1) Section 8(a), (2) HUB Zone, (3) Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), (4) Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), (5) Service-Disabled Veterans-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and/or (6) Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), for the construction of Project 516-005, Building One (1) Renovation. The place of performance is 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, FL 33708. The firm must be a small business general construction firm with an approved NAICS Code of 236220. The Small Business Size Standard is $36.5 million. The estimated price range for Project No. 516-005 is between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000. Building 1, five (5) stories high with an attic, was constructed in 1933 as the main hospital on the Veterans Administration Bay Pines Medical Campus. A stucco exterior finish is applied over 12 thick masonry walls supported on a concrete frame structure. Building One (1) Renovation work includes A. ITEM I, BASE BID GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: Work includes general construction, interior demolition, interior alterations, structural modifications, and installation of healthcare equipment as scheduled. Exterior construction includes construction of precast concrete entry canopy structure and roofing, asphalt and concrete roads and walks, grading, drainage, underground MEP services, retaining walls, landscaping and certain other items. Also included in the work is creation of a coordinated, clash-free 3D construction model ITEM II, BASE BID ELECTRICAL WORK: Work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required electrical construction work on this project. ITEM III, BASE BID MECHANICAL WORK: Work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required Mechanical construction work on this project. B. BID OPTION NO. 1 GENERATOR - ADD: Replace the existing emergency electrical generator located on the First Floor of Building B1 with a new emergency generator. Work includes removal and disposal of existing generator, reconstruction of concrete pad as needed for new generator footprint and anchorage, and providing all ancillary parts and pieces as required for an operable emergency generating system. C. BID OPTION NO. 2 FIRE PUMP - ADD: Replace the existing fire pump located in US VA Bay Pines Building 1 with a new electric driven fire pump system. Work includes removal and disposal of existing fire pump, reconstruction of concrete pad as needed for new fire pump footprint and anchorage, and providing all ancillary parts and pieces as required for an operable emergency fire pump system. D. BID OPTION NO. 3 INTERIOR FINISH COMPONENTS - ADD: Add new built-in bookshelves, and multi-level ceiling with faux wood beams on 2nd floor in Room 21-203 as shown (in lieu of ACT and painted walls in Base Bid). E. BID OPTION NO. 4 PATTERN GLASS - ADD: Provide pattern laminate glazing GL-3 in door frame types 4 and 5 and glazing elevation W09 as shown in lieu of frosted laminate glass GL-1 in Base Bid. F. BID OPTION NO. 5 TERRAZZO FLOORING - ADD: Provide terrazzo base and flooring TZ 01 thru TZ 06, TZB 01, and TZB 02 in lieu of RSF 07, RSF 02 thru RSF06, and RB 01 in Base Bid G. BID OPTION NO. 6 - GWB CEILINGS - ADD: Provide gypsum board ceilings in all four Team Work Zones A & B on floors 3 thru 5 as shown in lieu of ACT ceilings in Base Bid. A bid bond, as well as performance and payment bonds, will be required. At this time, no solicitation exists; therefore, please do not request a copy of a solicitation. Small bondable business contractors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses should include the following information: 1. Company Name, 2. Address, 3. Point of Contact, 4. Phone number and e-mail address, 5. Business size determination and qualifying Small Business status, 6. Certification of Small business Status, 7. Available Bonding Capacity, 8. Construction experience of similar projects in scope, size, and complexity of the renovation project. This sources sought notice is for market research purposes in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to the solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought. CFM anticipates the solicitation will be issued around November 2020 and will be posted only on the Beta.Sam website Contract Opportunities (https://beta.sam.gov ). At this time no solicitation exists, therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION package. Small business concerns failing to respond to this ad will not be precluded from responding to the solicitation. Note: This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government is only seeking information for market research purposes.
