- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Market Research is being conducted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business or HUBZone interests. The Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is trying to determine whether to set-aside an acquisition to provide the inspection of crawl spaces at the Hampton VA Medical Center. The scope of the acquisition includes but is not limited to: Assess for Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) in spaces where pipe lagging, elbows, potential contaminated soil, sub-flooring, joist, and floor support beams. Identify ACM s, mark and labeled as asbestos or non-asbestos containing material. Inspect lagging including all interior boundaries where asbestos may be friable or non-friable. Preform environmental air sampling Estimate cost for repairs and or/removal Provide final detail report including sampling locations, drawings and pictures Provide temporary patches on defected areas until lagging abatement can be performed Required certificates and location restraints: All samples shall be analyzed by an accredited laboratory under AHERA. Analysis will be performed using protocols mandated under AHERA (or other EPA or OSHA protocols if AHERA is not applicable) Proof of the laboratory s accreditation shall be submitted as part of the initial report If your company is interested in performing these services, please notify our office of your intent. In response, please include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid as a prime contractor (capability statement); (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers; (c) past performance references with points of contact and phone numbers. At least two (2) references are requested, but more are desirable. Responses to this notice should also identify whether or not the firm falls into any of the socioeconomic categories listed above. Your response is required by: March 23, 2021 NLT 1500 EST All capable Service Disabled Veteran Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will not pay for any information solicited.
