Description

The contract will provide the field with a professional or commercial grade passport photo system designed specifically to produce passport photos that meet the specifications established by the DOS. �The passport photo system should have firmware or some other feature that allows USPS employees the ability to quickly and easily frame the subject to meet the DOS standards. �The DOS standards can be found at �http://www.travel.state.gov/passport/pptphotoreq/pptphotoreq_5333.html Other preferred specifications for passport photo system include: Digital Camera preferably larger in size for ease of use (especially for passport fairs) and will be less likely prone to theft Minimum megapixels per DOS standards Ability to automatically reduce photo size to 2 X 2 print Color photo on quality paper Dimensions must be in a square aspect ratio (height must be equal to the width) Minimum acceptable dimensions are 600 x 600 pixels; Maximum acceptable dimensions are 1200 x 1200 pixels Auto focus Guideline sticker to facilitate alignment of the facial position per DOS standards. �The guideline sticker will be affixed to the monitor screen on the camera. Internal memory or SD card included (2GB) Two sets of Rechargeable Batteries Image Stabilizer Other considerations: Handling of repairs/returns and �out of box failures� Technical Support for field questions Warranty Cameras programmed to be received set up to meet the DOS requirements (currently, the Sony cameras are pre-programmed to take the customer photo and print the passport photo, the local office does not have any set up requirements/adjustments during set up) Photo template on the camera to size the face to meet DOS standard requirements Quick start guides for product, which will allow employees to be able to produce photos quickly once out of the box
