Description

This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract, and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is prescribed by FAR 13.501(a). The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate, (WHS/AD) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price contract to L3 Harris Technologies, Inc., West Tower, 201 12th Street South, Suite 800, Arlington, VA 22202, to procure a the Symphony Dispatch console at the Pentagon and the Mark Center. This is a new requirement supporting the Pentagon Force Protection Agency�s Land Mobile Radio Systems already installed by L3 Harris Technologies, Inc. Due to maintenance contract requirements established between Army and Navy, L3 Harris Technologies is the only viable provider. The J-NCR LMR system is a proprietary system and L3 Harris Technologies is the only authorized provider. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.5 under the authority of 41 U.S.C 1901, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 334220 � �Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing.� The associated products service code (PSC) is 5825, �Radio Navigation Equipment, except airborne.� This notice of intent is NOT�a request for proposal or quotation. Request for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. However, any responsible sources may submit a capability statement demonstrating the ability to provide the requested products, which shall be considered as market research purposes for future purchases of the required products.
