Description
LITTLE SAHARA VISITOR CENTER CONSTRUCTION The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), West Desert District, plans to award a single, firm-fixed price contract for the construction of a new Visitor Center at the BLM Little Sahara Recreation Area located in Juab County, Utah at 27020 West Sand Mountain Road, Nephi, Utah 84648. This project is subject to availability of funds. The new building will be a 3,100 square foot, slab on grade, wood framed structure with concrete masonry exterior. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing and constructing the building, including all interior finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, communication, and associated site work which includes: - Installation of subsurface storm water collection systems - Installing new utilities to the building which include water, electrical, sewer, fiber - Installing sanitary sewer piping to a new septic system - Installing site landscaping - Installing a photovoltaic system on the building roof This project also includes the demolition of the existing Little Sahara Visitor Center which is a 2,800 square foot slab on grade brick faced building with cedar shake roof. The demolition will include the building, slab, foundation, concrete drive, portions of existing concrete walk, curb and gutter, and portions of existing asphalt parking. The work is located in Juab County, UT. This project is 100% set aside for Small Business under the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Davis Bacon Act (DBA) is applicable and the appropriate DBA Wage Determination(s) will be included in the solicitation. To obtain the solicitation and/or amendments/updates for this project, contractors shall monitor the solicitation at the sites listed above. Interested parties shall periodically check for amendments and other changes to the solicitation documents. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guaranteed notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing this site for all information relevant to this solicitation. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. A bid bond, performance bond, and payment bond are required. To be considered eligible for award, vendors must be registered and have active profiles with completed representations and certifications in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (https://www.sam.gov). There is NO fee to register for this site. A pre-proposal site visit will be held for this project. Details can be found in Section L of the solicitation document (140L5721R0001).
