Description

This is a Limited Source Time and Materials task order issued against the offeror's GSA Schedule contract in accordance with HHS' Class Justification and Approval (J&A) for 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) response efforts.� This J&A is active until 04/18/2021. The incumbent contractor for this requirement is Northrop Grumman. The Government received notice that Peraton Inc. completed its acquisition of Northrop Grumman�s federal IT and mission support services business on February 1, 2021, and therefore is the proper entity to provide support for the current requirement. This task order�is a short-term follow-on to an existing requirement for the development and maintenance of software intended to support the distribution of medical countermeasures including vaccines. Currently, CDC is preparing to distribute COVID-19 vaccine to CDC personnel deemed essential and that meet current vaccination eligibility criteria A gap in service and/or a transition to a new vendor would very likely have resulted in a disruption to CDC's ability to efficiently distribute vaccine doses to eligible employees during an active vaccination campaign.� If the need still exists following the end of this short-term emergency response requirement that will not exceed 12 months, the program office will pursue a longer-term competitive follow-on.
