- This is a Pre-solicitation Notice for Waste Medical Hazardous Services for Salisbury VAMC. This pre-solicitation Notice is NOT an official request for proposal. Solicitation 36C24621Q0466, will be issued on 1 April 2021. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Salisbury, North Carolina, currently has a need for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to provide collection, removal, transportation for the removal of all waste (including Sharps, Pathology Waste and Trace Chemotherapy waste) that is generated by the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, Charlotte HCC, NC and Kernersville HCC. 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144, for period of April 26, 2021 through April 25, 2022 with four (4) one-year option periods. All waste shall be weighed at site and entered on a Manifest that guarantees tracking of the waste from the premises through the destruction by the Incinerator or Microwave. After the waste is destroyed a copy of the manifest certificate will be sent to the VA (within 30 days from disposal) as proof of the destruction. The NAICS Code is 562112. Size Standard $41.5M.
