- This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to PHDS Co. DUNS 141612684, CAGE Code 1UY05, of 3011 Amherst Rd, Knoxville, TN, 37921-3713. The requirement is for a gamma ray detection system. **ITEM 1** Description: Fulcrum-S 40% HPGe Gamma-Ray Detection System MFG: PHDS Co. P/N: FS40B-1.0 QTY: 1 The Government intends to negotiate solely with PHDS Co. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Only one source capable of meeting the Government's requirement. FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR part 12 Acquisition of Commercial items, applies. The applicable NAICS Code is 335311 and the size standard is 750 employees. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may submit a quote which may be considered by the Government. Comments, questions or concerns regarding this notice may be submitted via e-mail ONLY to mara.gomez@navy.mil by 31 March 2021, 12 PM Pacific Time (PT). All responses received by this date may be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
