- When: July 13, 2021 Agenda (tentative and subject to change): 0800-1000 HST: Government Presentation 1000-1200 HST: Contractor Q&A session, open forum TBD: Individual contractor breakout sessions (registration details provided in a future announcement) Where: All sessions will be hosted virtually, details to be provided after registration Who: Contractors (general and specialist) with appropriate experience with construction, repair, and/or renovation of large waterfront structures, marine construction, dredging and suppliers of related equipment and materials. What: Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific invites contractors to learn, ask questions, and provide feedback, both in a group and one-on-one setting, regarding the proposed Military Construction, Navy (MCON) project located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI. NAVFAC Pacific is currently developing the design of the project for FY23 execution, in support of NAVSEA�s submarine maintenance mission.� NAVFAC will not answer any question considered sensitive (e.g. procurement info, CUI, etc.) at any time during the event. Project Description: This project constructs a new graving dry dock (Dry Dock 5) with superflood capability at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF). This new dry dock will replace existing Dry Dock 3 and will increase PHNSY & IMF�s capability to conduct depot-level maintenance of current and future fast-attack submarines. The project scope also includes a dewatering pumphouse, a chiller plant, substations, and a diesel power generation power plant, along with various other buildings and supporting site improvements (crane rail, utility distribution/infrastructure).�� See attached flyer for more information on the project scope. Project Cost Range: $1 to $3 billion Anticipated Project Award:� Q2 FY23 Contractor Breakout Sessions: Contractors are invited to �sit down� virtually with NAVFAC Pacific in a one-on-one setting after the Government Q&A session to provide feedback on the project.� Please note that NAVFAC Pacific�s Designer of Record, MNDPI Pacific JV, will also be present during these sessions. Sessions will be conducted informally and all discussions will remain private (not posted to public). A future announcement will be posted on BetaSAM.gov regarding how to register for these individual sessions.� The number of sessions will be limited and priority will be given to interested Prime Contractors. Online Comment Submission: Prior to Industry Day, Contractors are invited to submit questions and/or comments in advance of the open Q&A session via email to Chelan Crane at chelan.crane@navy.mil no later than June 25, 2021.� �NAVFAC will not answer any question considered sensitive (e.g procurement info, CUI, etc). After Industry Day, Contractors may submit additional questions and/or comments via email to Chelan Crane at chelan.crane@navy.mil no later than July 27, 2021. Any suggestions made may be incorporated in the solicitation.� Please do not share any proprietary information. All questions and responses will be posted publicly via the BetaSAM.gov website.� NAVFAC will not answer any question deemed sensitive (e.g procurement info, CUI, etc).
