Description

In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a modification to contract M67854-20-D-2029 with L3Harris Technologies, Inc., 1680 University Avenue, Rochester, New York, 14610-1839, for High Frequency Radio � Remotes support.� The purpose of this modification is to procure the L3Harris RF-9800R, the next generation remote control system for Falcon II and Falcon III radios.� This modification falls within the scope of Justification and Approval (J&A) 19,078 approved by Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Research, Development, and Acquisition on 3 April 2019. The Government intends to award Firm-Fixed Price CLINs on the existing base contract for Falcon II and Falcon III radios, ancillary components, and instructor training.� The proposed acquisition will be awarded to L3Harris pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii).� Only L3Harris, the original equipment manufacturer of the Marine Corps High Frequency Radio, has a remote controller with the technical design and software required to interface with the L3Harris High Frequency Radios in the Marine Corps inventory or currently under contract for purchase. This is not a request for competitive quotes; the Government is not seeking responses from industry, as the intent is to proceed with the contract modification pursuant to the authority stated in the above reference J&A. �
