Description
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to build the adapters that are listed below: These multi-adapters are primarily used during installation and removal of aircraft engines. The current adapters are installed on the 3000E trailers for the F-100-PW/200/220 engine removal and installation. A first article may be required, along with new technical data. NOUN����������������������������������������������� NSN �������������������������� �����P/N Engine Handling Adapter������ 1730-01-298-4078����������������� 16A23034-809 Engine Handling Adapter������ 1730-01-301-3127����������������� 16A23034-811 NSN 1730-01-301-3127, part number 16A23034-811, is the engine adapter assembly mounted on the engine transport trailer and attaches to attach points located on each side of the engine to facilitate engine installation and removal for the F110-GE-100 engine.� NSN 1730-01-298-4078, part number 16A23034-809, is the engine adapter assembly mounted on the engine transport trailer and attaches to attach points located on each side of the engine to facilitate engine installation and removal for the F100-PW-100/200/220 engines.��� The Ground Handling Adapter assembly transfers to other rail-type equipment by means of rollers and also supports the engine during air or land transport. The Ground Handling Adapter assembly part 16A23034-811 and part 16A23034-809 consists of the following assemblies: a. Forward Adapter b. Left Stabilizer and Attach Fitting c. Right Stabilizer and Attach Fitting d. Forward Adapter Bracket and Attach Fittings ( two) e. Aft. Adapter Bracket f. Aft. Adapter Cradle g. Left Aft. Adapter Strut h. Right Aft. Adapter Strut Total weight is 375 pounds (approximate). These two adapters have just the bracket different, due to different application of supporting F110-GE-100 engine (16A23034-811) and F100-PW-100/200/220 engines (16A23034-809). Our estimated quantities are as follows: 10 each����������� Engine Handling Adapter������ 1730-01-298-4078����������������� 16A23034-809 30 each����������� Engine Handling Adapter������ 1730-01-301-3127����������������� 16A23034-811 Our manufacturing strategy is a five-year contract and will continue through FY26.� The projected quantities will be Best Estimated Quantities (BEQ) of 8 per year, for a total of 40 units. That number should include both NSNs per year.
