- The Federal Aviation Administration has a requirement to repair frost-heaved flasher base foundation at ATW MALSR in Appleton, WI. Point of Contact:� Tony Bryant, Contracting Officer 817 222-4178 tony.w.bryant@faa.gov The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified 8(a) small disadvantaged business contractors interested in providing offers for the work described below General Statement of Work: A. Procure parts in advance of construction from Jaquith Industries; 1. Anchor plate L5004, QTY 3 2. Anchor bolt set L5002, QTY 3 3. Epoxy kit, QTY 1 B. Procure a licensed land surveyor to record the existing MALSR Vega tower light bar elevations and exact distances from the Runway 03 Threshold to within 0.01-ft. Place a benchmark on the power distribution panel foundation. Stake out the existing light bar distance from threshold on both sides of the three light bars. C. Upon shutdown of the facility (and/or de-energizing the circuits), disconnect and remove power and control conductors at each of the three existing light bars at Station 10. Direct buried power and control cables are to be replaced from the distribution panel with new inside new Galvanized Rigid Steel Conduit (GRSC) per the drawings. D. Remove and dispose of the three existing light bars, Vega towers, and screw anchors. E. Furnish and install new conduit, conductors, and grounding in trench from the distribution rack to the three tower locations. F. Furnish and install new concrete foundations, including reinforcement steel, anchor plates, and embedded conduit and other items. Local frost depth is 60-inches, depth of foundation will be 72-inches below grade. Construct at the location necessary to match the existing lamp height and distance from the Runway 03 Threshold. G. Install breakaway kits with pole safe couplings. Install stand assemblies, conduits with associated fittings, LIR tubes and stabilizer rods on mounting frames, 5-light T-bars with tube caps and ensure lamp heads at all bars are level, and (via a licensed land surveyor) are re-established at the original design location, elevation, and angle. H. Install electric wiring harness inside each LIR pole. I. Furnish and install ground rods, grounding conductors, connections, and exothermic welding per the contract drawings. J. Furnish and install new power conductors from the distribution panel to the three new poles. Install new ground conductors and 1/0 guard wires with ground rods per specifications. All power cables shall be tested per specifications after installation in the presence of the COR and SSC technicians. A written record of the test results for all of the conductors shall be delivered to the COR. K. Provide crushed aggregate work area around light poles per drawing C004, to a depth of 6-inches and including geotextile fabric. 1. �Contract performance time is 30 calendar days after NTP per location 2.� This procurement is an 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business Set Aside 3.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220 � Commercial & Institutional Building Construction 4.� The Small Business Size Standard is $39.5 Million 5.� The rough order of magnitude for this proposed construction project is between $50,000.00 and $100,000.00. 6.� Site Visits are not mandatory, but may be requested. �Information will be specified in the Request for Proposal. The Request for Proposal Package is expected to be available late April 2021. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than 5:00 pm (CST) by April 16, 2021.
