- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract�to the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA). The purpose of this contract is to secure professional services and specialized training from the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), a critical partner of the DFC Program. The contractor shall conduct trainings to NCIPC/DOP/DFC staff during the CADCA National Forum, CADCA Mid-Year Training Institute, and other trainings that will aid the Drug-Free Communities Branch in managing the DFC Program. In addition, the contractor shall develop tools and materials that highlight emerging trends in youth drug use/misuse and practical strategies that DFC coalitions can implement. The DFC Program is directed by the White House Office of the National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and is currently managed by CDC in the National Center for Injury Prevention (NCIPC), Division of Overdose Prevention (DOP). DFC provides grants to approximately 700 community coalitions to achieve 2 main goals: 1) establish and strengthen collaboration among communities and 2) reduce substance abuse among youth, focusing on alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, prescription drugs, and other drugs.�� This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 USC 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any quotation/response should be emailed to Contract Specialist at qeu7@cdc.gov by COB April 29, 2021 at 5:00 PM EST. �
