- Notice Type: Notice of Contract Action � Liebert Chilled Water Cooling System Justification, Statutory Authority in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), that the circumstances of this contract action deem only a single source is reasonably available. Contract Award Date: TBD Contract Award Number: TBD � Synopsis: The United States Air Force Test Center/Directorate of Contracting (AFTC/PZIEB), Edwards AFB, CA intends to issue a sole source contract to Vertiv Corporation, 1050 Dearborn Drive, Columbus OH 43085-1544, for the Liebert PWC Chilled Water System � 8 Ton CW Unit (Model number:� PW029DC1) and 15-Ton CW Unit (Model Number: CW051DC1CT), along with Liebert EXM Single Module UPS System, Liebert EXM Battery Cabinet System, and a Maintenance Bypass Cabinet. The contract will be executed by means of other than full and open competition, due to the need to maintain commonality and compatibility with the current systems located at Edwards AFB already used by the 412 Test Wing. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 USC 1901 - FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) that the circumstances of this contract action deem only a single source is reasonably available. Vertiv Corporation is the only seller of the Liebert Chilled Water Systems required. These items are large enough to cool down the computer rooms within the organization and help with ensuring a cool environment for the computer equipments. �Liebert Corporation does have authorized resellers, but Vertiv Corporation, which shares Cage Codes with Liebert Corporation is the company who has the requirement of 8-ton and 15-ton Chilled Water Systems. The Government requests that initial feedback, comments and questions be submitted no later than Five (5) calendar days from the date of this notice posted to www.beta.SAM.gov. In accordance with leeway permitted by FAR 13.106-1, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. The Air Force Test Center has appointed an Ombudsman to consider and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. Concerned parties should address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the Contracting Officer for resolution prior to consulting the Ombudsman.
