- PURPOSE:.THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION to determine if responsible sources exist and to assist in determining the availability and technical capability of small businesses (including the following subsets, HUBZone Small Business concerns; Certified 8(a) Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns) to provide the required products and/or services. It is a market research tool for information and planning purposes only. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposal nor will any award be made as a result of this Sources Sought. Only provide non-classified information in your response. Copies of the submitted information may be reproduced for Government Review. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. PROGRAM DETAILS: Naval Air Warfare Center -Weapons Development (NAWCWD) is conducting market research seeking capable sources for two (2) OMAX JetMachining Centers with Computer Numerical Control (CNC), specifically the OMAX JetMachining Center 80X/50V and OMAX 55100/30V JetMachining Center to include delivery, ancillary equipment, accessories, attachments, training, and complete onsite installation services in support of two (2) separate Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) locations: one (1) unit to North Island, San Diego California and one (1) unit to Cherry Point, Havelock North Carolina. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. SUBMITTAL INFORMATION: Interested parties are requested to submit a letter of interest; brief statement of current capability and experience; and published price list and/or catalog. Responses should include the following: Company/Institute name and CAGE code; NAICS code; physical address; Web Page URL; Company Point of Contact name, telephone number, and email address. Also include if your company is a small business, it a woman owned business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) business, HUB Zone business, Serviced Disabled Veteran Owned Business, etc. Responses should also include all systems, materials, accessories, installation, training and/or any other inclusions not listed that would be included with the above listed items. Describe your standard commercial warranty for goods and services furnished to the Government for items similar in nature to this requirement. If you offer this product to both the U.S. Government and the public, briefly describe any differences for this product when offered to U.S. Government as opposed to the public. Documentation of technical expertise and capability must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise, certification, authorization and experience to source the OMAX Waterjet Cutting machines to each location without compromising quality and schedule. It is imperative that business concerns responding to this notice articulate their capabilities clearly and adequately. Responses to this notice are expected to be no more than 10 pages in length, single-spaced, 12 point font minimum and fully demonstrating the ability to provide the products as stated above and in the attached statement of work.
