THIS IS NOT A RFP AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE U.S. GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A RFP. This RFI release is for U.S. Government planning purposes only and constitute requests for exchange of information pursuant to FAR 15.201. Request for Information (RFI) The Breech Fatigue Lab is a core competency of the Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center providing continual support for both developmental and currently fielded armament systems. The Breech Fatigue Lab conducts dynamic ultra-high pressure hydraulic fatigue testing to load armament system components until failure in order to provide safety certifications and diagnose potential issues. A hydraulic power unit (HPU) is required to generate preload pressures in order to perform the testing operations. The current preload pump is antiquated and does not function properly for extended periods of time during a test. Continual maintenance of the preload pump at an irregular rate is required to complete testing due to an outdated design that did not properly account for the fluids being utilized and increased temperatures observed throughout testing. As such, a HPU that meets specifications must be designed, fabricated, and delivered for proper operation. REQUIREMENTS: 4The contractor shall provide a HPU system to replace a MTS Hydraulic Power Supply (Model 506.00) that meets or exceeds the following hardware requirements: Capable of using multiple different fluid mediums, including hydraulic oil and water-glycol mixture Fit within 4ft by 4ft spill container Parker 10 GPM Gear Pump (or equivalent) 5 HP Electric Motor, 460 Volt / 60 Hz Motor Starter Box with Start/Stop Buttons and Relay Control, 120VDC Step Down Transformer, Terminal Strip with minimum of 4 outlets Capable of remote operation to start/stop the HPU system (24VDC relay control) 50 Gallon Stainless Steel Reservoir with removable top Customized Aluminum Valve/Filter Manifold Integrated thermocouple capable of displaying on Omega DP460 (or equivalent RTD and external display) Capable to install a MTS Model 660.50A-01 Pressure Transducer (0-7500 psi) or equivalent through a 7/16-20 SAE port Low Fluid Level Switch Adjustable Fluid Temperature Alarm One Pressure Filter (10 micron); Two Return Filters (20 & 10 micron) T-T #BPS-24 Stainless Steel Plate Type Heat Exchanger On-Off Solenoid Valve, 120 VAC, for water to cooler Cartridge Relief Valve at pump outlet, adjustable from 60-1,000 psi Digital Pressure Gage (0-1000 psi) mounted in block Solenoid Purge Valve [normally open], 120 VAC, mounted in block Ball Valve on drain Back Pressure Valve on return line, adjustable from 60-1,000 psi Enlarged Pump Suction Strainer with Bypass Feature Request your company provide responses to the following questionnaire: 1. Does your company have a system available that can meet the above requirements? If yes, please provide description of your system. Please specifically highlight any individual technical requirement that creates a significant challenge for your company to meet. 2. Can your company define and provide details and pricing for all parts, and supply unit pricing? Please include any maintenance or warranty the company offers. 3. Are the systems currently in stock and available for immediate delivery? 4. If your system is not currently in stock, when would the systems be available for delivery? 5. What is your commercial price for the above system? Any pricing data should be sent if available and at no cost to the U.S. Government. ROM data is acceptable. Also please provide the following company information: Company Name. Company Address. Company point of contact, phone number and email address. Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code.
