- Statement of Work- M Jesse Brown VAMC Daily Maintenance Lawncare Jesse Brown VAMC seek well qualified horticulturist to provide all labor, materials, protective clothing, supervision, to perform professional landscaping care and improve lawncare and flowering on the campus at 820 South Damen, Chicago, IL 60612-3728. This work is: Year-round maintenance and sanitation of grounds. Occasional, minor snow removal around entry ways and patio as determined by COR. Work 7AM-11AM, Seven days per week. 365 days per year. Remove Winter debris (including leaves from lawn and stairways), prepare lawn, and garden for Spring planting. Remove dead trees and branches, spray for plant infestation, and plant health, advise the facility on need for tree planting. In Summer water and maintain flowers and lawn. Vendor shall maintain grounds: sweeping areas, dispose of cigarette buts and foreign debris. removing all man-made debris spot plant grass where needed, maintain (watering) the lawn. Power washing areas as required by COR (with VA equipment and supplies). Keep high sanitation and cleanliness to grounds and docks. The area determined by site maps (according to VA grounds site plan) and COR. Vendor shall remove minor trees fallen branches and To remove and control weeds, fertilize and maintain according to industry practices outlined by Illinois Landscape contractors Association, The Professional Grounds Maintenance Society, and Associated Landscape Contractors of America. Any conflict with these Standards the COR shall decide on behalf of JBVAMC. Area to be serviced is identified on VA Site plan (Approx. 61,291 SQ. FT. ): Ogden area Building 5 { (Police Training Center) Bus shelter(45) and Flag pole (44)}, North around to Polk { (including building 15, 18, 21)},covering grounds and planters to Damen (turning Southbound) Avenue: including Area 23, and bus shelter (46) [Oxygen tower(currently under construction)]. Continuing South down Damen Avenue Covering: Lawn, flower area, bus area (47), and planters to Temp Building (Bldg. # 32). Then, area Westbound from Temp Bldg. to West end of (stopping at Parking facility) Taylor Pavilion (Bldg. 11A). This includes all bushes, planters, bus area (49) and flowering areas. VA shall supply water hose, Garbage bags, keys.
