- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The 10th Contracting Squadron, Operational Contracting Office, United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) Colorado, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source award to Stryker Corporation.�This acquisition is for maintenance services on USAFA 10th Medical Group�s surgical arthroscopic and endoscopic Stryker equipment. This procurement is for the acquisition of a commercial service using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR parts 12 and 13. A sole source justification for this acquisition has been completed and is attached per FAR 6.304(a)(1). Services required: The 10th Medical Group (10 MDG) at the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) requires a Firm-Fixed Price service agreement for scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled emergency repairs on surgical arthroscopic and endoscopic equipment manufactured and supplied by Stryker Corporation. This ProCare Services coverage shall be performed by manufacturer trained, authorized and certified personnel using manufacturer certified components so that warranties are not voided. The contractor shall provide comprehensive preventative maintenance on the surgical equipment listed within the requirements document and in accordance with (IAW) the manufacturer's commercial standards for preventative maintenance. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number for this acquisition is 811219 and the business size standard is $22M. � This synopsis is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals.��DO NOT submit a bid/quote at this time. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the interested party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
