Description
The office of the Project Manager Close Combat Systems (PM CCS) is sponsoring and hosting a Virtual Industry Day for the PM CCS Close Terrain Shaping Obstacle (CTSO) Increment 1 effort, which will be conducted from 27-29 April 2021. The purpose of this Industry Day is to enable the Army ammunition community and Industry to identify and discuss new and innovative munition systems, capable of meeting User requirements in an open forum. The CTSO Increment 1 munition system is defined as a next generation anti-vehicular munition that detects, tracks, and engages threat vehicles to create a ground-based lethal anti-vehicle obstacle with breach resistance measures. The terrain shaping munition capability provides friendly forces the freedom of maneuver while limiting the enemy's ability to do the same. Army modernization and changes in land mine policies have created capability gaps not addressed by the current U.S. landmine inventory. The U.S. Government is seeking mature prototype munition systems with the capability of meeting the Abbreviated - Capability Development Document (A-CDD) requirements. The purpose of this Industry Day is for the Government to engage with Industry in an Open Forum session on the CTSO Increment 1 strategy, requirements, and approach. In addition, One-on-One sessions will be conducted between the Government and individual Industry company participants for those participants who request and obtain confirmation of a timeslot from the Government Registration POC for this event. The Government will accommodate Industry requested Virtual One-on-One sessions on 28 and 29 April 2021 on a first come first served basis. The Government reserves the right to deny vendor virtual requests for one-on-one sessions at its discretion. These one-on-one sessions will be unclassified. During the sessions, industry will be permitted to ask questions about the CTSO munition, the A-CDD requirements, or on any other information provided during the course of Industry Day. A limit of one session per company is permitted. Each session will be scheduled for no more than two (2) hours in duration. Any non-proprietary questions and answers discussed during these forms will also be posted via an amendment to this notice on or about one week after the events. Virtual one-on-one session invitations, to include the virtual location of the session, will be sent to all registered participants once a timeslot has been scheduled. All participants interested in participating in a One-on-One session must indicate interest during the registration process. The virtual one-on-ones will inform Government requirement writers of the current and developing capabilities of the Industrial base, as well as provide vendor partners the opportunity to showcase their CTSO munition technologies and discuss information and questions in a private forum. The Government will attempt, but cannot guarantee, the accommodation of vendor requests for different timeslots. Participants will only be required to be in attendance during their scheduled appointment. It is the intent of the Government to post all questions and responses from the Open Forum session and non-proprietary One-on-One questions and responses as an attachment to this Notice approximately one (1) week following the event. All non-proprietary responses will be posted on the www.beta.sam.gov website. While Industry may provide questions via email in advance of the event to the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist listed in the Additional Information section of this notice, responses may not be provided to Industry until such time that they are included in the questions and responses document referenced above. All information discussed at Industry Day will be unclassified. This Industry Day shall not be used to elicit trade secrets. No sales pitches or give-aways shall be allowed from Industry participants. No competition-sensitive or vendor proprietary information/data, will be solicited or released.
