Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central (RHCO-C), Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch (FHHCB), Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Nova Biomedical, 200 Prospect Street, Waltham, Massachusetts 02454 under the authority 41 U.S.C. 1901, IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Only one source is reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. The requirement is for supplies for the Government owned Nova StatStrip� Glucose Hospital Meter System. This requirement will be for Irwin Army Community Hospital located at Fort Riley, Kansas 66442. Award will be on or about 31 May 2021.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325413, In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing. The estimated delivery schedule will be from 1 October 2021 through 30 September 2022 with four (4) option year periods that may extend the supply requirement through 30 September 2026. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,250 Employees. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.� This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for supplies for the Government owned Nova StatStrip� Glucose Hospital Meter System. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. A solicitation will not be published.
