Description

DLA Information Operations (J6) has a requirement to include Open Text Optimize Assit Flex Days to contract # SP4701-18-C-0014 with Open Text, Inc for Open Text Software Maintenance Support.�DLA J6 has a requirement to secure licensing required for the operation and sustainment of Document Automated Content Services (DACS) operations. Because DACS operates on the Open Text platform and products, DLA requires the continued software subscription and support for the Open Text products it utilizes as the platform for the DACS system. The Open Text products form the basis of DACS and as such, are essential to its operation. DACS consists of 40+ external and internal data stores consisting of over 90TB of data that are accessed by over 20K external and internal users. DACS is tasked with upgrading our Windows Operating System from Server 2012 to Server 2019, Upgrading all 40+ libraries to the latest OpenText Content Server Suite, migrating from Azure DoD to Azure Gov (142 servers & 90 TB data), converting from Oracle Java to OpenJDK, all without any user interruption or service outage. DACS already employs OpenText certified personnel via a support contract to Amyx. Even their expertise is not sufficient to provide assurances of maintaining service. DACS requires the in-depth knowledge and assistance that Open Text Optimize Assist Flex Days provide to complete our sustainment operations. Only the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) OpenText has the knowledge required.
