- ****Amended April 29, 2021 This solicitation is being extended.� The new closing date will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 4:00pm ET.� In addition, to improve vendor understanding of the requirement, a site visit opportunity is now available for vendors that wish to see the facility. �The site visit will occur on April 27, 2021 at 10:00 am ET. Each vendor may send up to three attendees to the site visit.� Attending the site visit is not required to bid. Vendors interested in attending the site visit must send a list of participants to Nathan Briggs (nathan.p.briggs@cbp.dhs.gov). �The list should include the name, nationality, and date of birth of each attendee. �This list must be provided by 4:00pm ET on Friday, April 23, 2021 to allow time for vetting.� Attendees that are not vetted will not be permitted into the facility. The street address for the visit is: 250 N Boundary Rd. Queens, NY 11430 The answers to vendor questions should be posted here within the next 24-48 hours. End Amendment 4/19/2021**** This is a Request for�Quote (RFQ)�for commercial items prepared in accordance with Parts 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)�and supplemented with the additional information included in this notice.�The RFQ is attached to this notice. The provisions and clauses incorporated into the solicitation are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-04. Referenced FAR clauses can be found at www.acquisition.gov. The United States (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP),�intends to procure modular and easily scalable solutions in support of its international mail processing modernization efforts at the International Mail Facility (IMF) located at the John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in Jamaica, NY. The solutions for�the JFK�location will allow for the batch loading, sorting, singulation, and processing of international mail.� The envisioned system will use sensors to identify parcels and communicate with Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) imaging equipment to support routing for CBP inspections for each mailing in accordance with the requirements�in the Statement of Work (SOW). In addition to the requirements, proposals must also include installation, maintenance,�repair and training services needed to support the proper operations and sustainment of this system in order to be considered for award. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Please include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with any offer, unless already registered as active in the System for Acquisition Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Additional clauses cited by that clause are applicable and can be found in the attached RFP. All other terms and conditions can be found in the RFQ. Offers are due by 3:00 PM ET,�April 27, 2021.
