Description

The Marine Corps Installation East (MCIEAST) Satellite Contracting Office, Cherry Point, NC hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Oerlikon Metco (US) Inc. (CAGE: 01FK3) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for a Service Agreement that provides equipment operational verification services, calibration services, and safety inspections per manufacturer specifications for Oerlikon Metco (US) Inc. thermal spray systems that include two (2) 9MC Spray Systems, one (1) Multicoat Spray Robotic System, one (1) A3000 Spray Robotic System, and six (6) Air flowmeters.� It will be a one (1) year base period with provisions for two (2) one-year option periods. Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required items.� Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Oerlikon Metco (US), Inc., the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the machines.� THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
