All Other terms and conditions remain the same.� End of Amendment The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center - Atlantic requires Sliding Watertight Doors Inspection and Adjustment on the NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson. NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson is ABS Classed. All fabrication and materials are to be in accordance with ABS Steel Vessels Under 90 Meters (295 Feet) in Length. so as to retain her ABS Class. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. � Solicitation number NM-AN2120-21-01089 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-05. This acquisition is a small business set-aside�under NAICS code 336611, Ship Building and Repairing; the small business size standard is 1,250 Employees. Line items are as follows: This is an ABS Certified requirement. Must submit a valid ABS Certificate for the requested work below/ within attached Statement of Work. 1. All work to be completed by an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) field technician with support from references (a), (b), and (c). b. Perform the following work on the ship�s five sliding watertight doors located on the 2nd deck at frames 22, 34, 43, 75 and 87: 1. Inspect for proper operation. a) Verify operation of recent hydraulic hand pump replacements completed by others. 2. Inspect for proper sealing. 3. Provide a preliminary service report to identify the as-found conditions with recommended repairs and adjustments. 4. Make minor adjustments and shim the doors as needed to reduce tech sealing gaps that are greater than the required 0.003"". Report if the doors are very warped or seals have excessive wear. In this case attempt to bring no less than 90% of the sealing perimeter within range. 5. Provide a final service report to include the as left condition with recommended additional repairs and upgrades. All Condition Found Reports (CFR) will be evaluated for approval. Quotes should be provided with all CFRs for this evaluation. Once approved Contracting Officer will provide a modification and Notice to Proceed. No work should be performed with an anticipation a modification will be approved. Hourly Rate and Material Mark-up cost shall be provided with initial quote for this solicitation. Valid ABS Certificate shall be provide with quote. Period of Performance/Services - Period of performance for this work is expected between May 28, 2021 and June 7, 2021. Period of Performance will be set for May 01 2021 � September 01 2021 to cover any ship schedule change. Subsistence for lodging, meals and incidental expenses shall be reimbursed based on actual costs incurred only to the extent that they do not exceed on a daily basis, the maximum per diem rates in effect at the time of travel as set forth in the Federal Travel Regulations. (d) Comptroller General Examination of Record. If this contract is completely or partially terminated, the records relating to the work terminated shall be made available for 3 years after any resulting final termination settlement. Records relating to appeals under the disputes clause or to litigation or the settlement of claims arising under or relating to this contract shall be made available until such appeals, litigation, or claims are finally resolved.
