Description
Storz, Septoplasty Surgical Instruments Statement of Need Background: The Lebanon VA Medical Center (LVAMC) has a requirement for one (1) Storz set of Septoplasty Instruments, associated telescopes and reprocessing containers to be utilized in the OR by our Otolaryngologist. These items are utilized in the repair of Deviated Septum s, and other Malalignment issues in the nose causing difficulty breathing. Scope of Work: The Storz Septoplasty Instruments, Telescopes, and reprocessing containers are needed due to the facility not having enough instruments to support the workload of the provider for these types of surgeries. Also, the facility does not have an extra set to meet the SPS reprocessing redundancy standard, which requires all surgical instruments to have a duplicate set in case of droppage, malfunction, and/or any other issue that would require another instrument to continue surgery safely. Salient Characteristics of the Septoplasty Instruments, Scopes, and Container: Telescopes: o Hopkins II 0 degree Telescope 4mm x 18cm, Autoclavable o Hopkins II 30 degree Telescope, Reverse Light Post, 4mm x 18cm, Autoclavable o Light Cable, 3/5mm x 300 cm Reprocessing/Storage Container: o Steam/Sterrad, 12 x6 x3 o Holds 2 Telescopes Surgical Septoplasty Instruments: o Made from German Stainless Steel o Will integrate with other Storz Scopes, Power, and Light Sources o Autoclavable Additional Information: The Storz Telescopes, and Instrumentation are required to integrate with the other Storz Septoplasty, Rhinoplasty, and ENT sets currently in use. Delivery: Delivery shall be within thirty (30) days from the time of award. The Storz Septoplasty Instruments, Telescopes, and Sterilization Container and accessories shall be delivered to the Lebanon VAMC located at 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042; Attn; Warehouse. BioMedical Engineering will need to perform a safety check and enter the equipment into the system for annual Preventive Maintenance (PM) checks. Placement in the LVAMC OR shall be coordinated through Bio-Med, Surgery Operations Manager, and/or the Contracting Officer Representative.
