Description

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is committed to using cutting-edge technologies and scientific talent in its quest to make America safer. The DHS Science and Technology Directorate (DHS/S&T) is tasked with researching and organizing the scientific, engineering, and technological resources of the U.S. and leveraging these existing resources into technological tools to help protect the homeland. Technology foraging supports this effort. Technology foraging is a high impact process that proactively leverages the public and private sectors� both international and domestic � to identify, locate and evaluate existing or developing technologies, products, services, and emerging trends to expedite speed of execution, maximize partnership opportunities, and assemble resources in order to impact the development of current or future Homeland Security systems and architectures, DHS operational user needs and/or DHS/S&T programs. To support technology foraging, the DHS/S&T Research and Development Partnerships office, requires a web-based, on-demand (24/7) subscription access to energy, sensors, materials, and cybersecurity market research information, trends, forecasts, market analysis, technical insights, and best practices research for DHS/S&T users.
