- Description
- The Army Contracting Command � New Jersey is planning to issue a Request for Proposal for the MK19 40mm Grenade Machine Gun during the March 2021 timeframe.� The intent is to award a single source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with 4 one-year ordering periods and a guaranteed minimum value of $500,000.00.� The weapons purchased under this contract will be used to fulfil Foreign Military Sale requirements received by the U.S. Government. The MK19 40MM MOD 3 GMG (NSN 1010-01-490-9697)��is an air cooled, blow-back operated, belt-fed, automatic weapon that fires 40MM grenades from ground mounts and vehicles. The Government will require the fabrication, in-process inspection, First Article Testing, ongoing Lot Acceptance Tests and delivery of weapon systems manufactured to the U.S. Government Technical Data Package.� Any resulting contract awarded will include a First Article Sample to be presented to the Government 270 days after contract award, and monthly production deliveries would commence within 60 days after Government approval of the First Article.� Production Deliveries would ramp up from 20 per month up to 50 per month depending on the final production requirement. This notice is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation, nor will the Government be liable for any costs involved for submission of information in response to this notice. Release of an official solicitation is anticipated to occur in mid to late-March 2021.� Interested parties are encouraged to monitor Beta.SAM for the release of the solicitation.� Point of contact for this action is Jon M.
