- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD, intends to negotiate and award a�modification to the Phase 0B Contract (N0001921F0023) in support of the MQ-4C Triton Program Requirements.� The modification will add�Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) CLINs�on a sole source basis�to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), San Diego, CA regarding Sense and Avoid (SAA) Risk Reduction, in advance of the SAA System Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) Contract.� This contract action will include the ACAS Xu Phase 0A Risk Reduction supplies, services, and technical data along with the Phase 0B SAA System Requirement Review (SRR) supplies, services and technical data in support of the MQ-4C Triton SAA Phase 0C program requirements. �In addition, this effort will support advanced analysis, prototype design and development risk reduction for the Triton SAA design requirements. This Contract Modification�under the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) Contract N00019-20-G-0005 has an anticipated award date of December 2021. As the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the MQ-4C Triton UAS, NGSC is the only source that possesses the engineering data, technical skills, and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, and operational characteristics of the MQ-4C Triton UAS required to perform the necessary efforts within the required timeframes and without substantial duplication of costs. No other source has the technical qualifications and necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Government�s requirements. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, �Only one Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements� for the proposed actions. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
