Description
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production data/repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to supply Plasma Tape with a base and four option years as follows: - The purchase of heavy-duty, pressure sensitive tapes used for thermal spray masking. - They are manufactured by combining multiple layers of silicone rubber, aluminum foil and fiberglass coated with aggressive high-temperature silicone adhesive. - HVOF means High Velocity Oxygen Fuel spray technique. - CHR H7525 and H7575 have exceptional abrasion resistance and adhesion properties, which allows the tapes to wear very well during the spraying process. - These tapes are also very conformable and can be used for many part configurations. - They can continuously withstand temperatures up to 260C. CHR H7525 and H7575 are used as high-temperature masking tapes in thermal spray and high velocity oxygenated fuel (HVOF) processes. - The tapes are used to protect portions of the part being processed so that they are not exposed to spray strip tanks, and other equipment. - CHR 2905-7R is manufactured from heat-resistant fiberglass cloth backing coated with high-temperature silicone adhesive on both sides. - CHR 2905-7R is exceptionally stable at high temperatures, allowing it to withstand temperatures up to 260C. - A non-corrosive product, 2905-7R is used in a variety of critical electrical applications. - Other characteristics include excellent abrasion and edge tear resistance and exceptional flex strength. - CHR 2905-7R is available in both 0.178 mm and 0.254 mm thicknesses, the 0.254 mm (2905-10R) being a more abrasive-resistant, heavy-duty product. - This fluctuation between several rolls of tape to possibly hundreds of rolls of tape is the reason for requiring a flexible contract to support the shops. Please see attached Sources Sought Synopsis for details.
