Scope: NOTICE: This is not a solicitation. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, California Great Basin Region will host an Industry Day for the BF Sisk Dam Safety of Dams (SOD) Modifications Phase 1 Project. The purpose of this Industry Day is to improve the Industrys understanding of Reclamations requirements, answer questions on the BF Sisk Dam SOD Phase 1 project and solicit feedback from industry as part of our market research. The presentation will address revisions to previous notices and Industry Day events. Projected Requirement Details: The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), a water management agency within the Department of the Interior, desires to engage the heavy civil construction industry to provide a clear, concise, fair, and reasonable approach regarding the construction of the BF Sisk Safety of Dam Modifications Phase 1 Project. The project is located in Merced County, CA. Major project features include: Foundation excavation including dewatering efforts; constructing shear key and downstream stability berms; blasting and excavating approximately 850,000 cubic yards from onsite borrow areas; processing and hauling excavated material for use as filter, drain, riprap, bedding, rockfill. Developing and processing onsite borrow areas for production of 1.7 million cubic yards of miscellaneous fill for completion of downstream stability berms; modifications to the concrete spillway; removing and replacing existing toe drain piping systems. Work will be scheduled so reservoir restrictions will not be required. However, the Dam and outlet works will remain functional for normal operations during construction. The estimated duration for Phase 1 construction is estimated to 750 1100 calendar days. The estimated cost of this procurement is $100 Million - $500 Million. Virtual Industry Day Details: Reclamation announces a Virtual Industry Day for any entity or entities interested in constructing the BF Sisk SOD Phase 1 Modifications. Industry Day will be held via Microsoft Teams meeting which will include a virtual tour of the project site. This meeting will be held on April 22, 2021 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm (pacific time) and requires attendees to register in order to attend.
