- NOTICE Type: Sources Sought / Market Research for Valve Assembly, Bott This is a SOURCES SOUGHT / MARKET RESEARCH notice to request information for Government planning purposes only. �Responses will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. The Government is not committed to issue a solicitation or award a contract as a result of this announcement.� Army Contracting Command � Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is seeking qualified and capable potential vendors.� Since this is a sources-sought synopsis and not a solicitation for receipt of proposals or quotations, the Government does not encourage questions concerning this market research. This request for information (RFI) is for the manufacturing of Valve Assembly, Bott, NSN: 4820-01-192-5931; Part Number: F635AG; NAICS Code: 332911.� Meggitt (North Hollywood), Inc., CAGE Code: 79318, owns the technical data for this item.� The Government is seeking to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of the community, to include both small and large businesses.� If your company is interested and can demonstrate the firm�s ability, capability, and responsibility to deliver the equipment summarized above, we encourage you to respond to this announcement with a statement of your qualifications and capability.� In order to do so, please answer all questions below and complete attached survey: 1) Name and address of the firm. 2) DUNS number and CAGE Code (valid System for Award Management (Beta.SAM.gov) is MANDATORY). 3) Your Firm�s Point of Contact (name, phone number, and email address). 4) Your company�s business size status (small or large) (including Service-Disabled veteran owned, if applicable).� If claiming small business status, the information must be verifiable in Beta.SAM.gov. 5) A summary of the item�s commercial availability.� (Complete attached market research/commercial item survey answering all questions) 6) A summary of your company�s expertise in the manufacturing of the part. 7) Can you manufacture the valve assembly, NSN: 4820-01-192-5931; Part Number F635AG? �Please explain. 7a) Can you manufacture the valve assembly similar to NSN: 4820-01-192-5931; Part Number: F635AG however, under a different part number?� What is the part number? Describe the major differences between Part Number F635AG and another similar part number? 7b) Are you the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Distributor? 7c) If you are the OEM, what is the production lead-time required after receipt of an order to the Government (number of days for shipment to FOB Destination Texarkana, TX)?� If you are shipping to a distributor, please describe timeline and process.� Please explain any unique processes. 7d) OEM, please include a list of distributors with Distributor Name, Point of Contact (POC)/Name, Email, Address, Phone Number, and CAGE Code. 7e) If you are a Distributor, what is the production lead-time required after receipt of an order to the Government (number of days for shipment to FOB Destination Texarkana, TX)?� Please explain any unique processes. 8) What is the most economical production rate for this item (please include unit price)? 9) What is the maximum production capability per month?
